LionFunds and Eurex Trade – Official Non Business Days
It seems that both Lionfunds and Eurex Trade will be honoring the same list of holidays for this month of May. These two companies have officially announced via their respective websites that they consider these holidays as non trading days so that means no interest from your investments.
05/03/2011 Constitution Day (Japan)
05/04/2011 May Bank Holiday (United Kingdom)
05/05/2011 Children’s Day (Japan)
05/18/2011 Victoria Da (Canada)
05/21/2011 Ascension Day (Switzerland)
05/25/2011 Memorial Day (USA)

That’s 6 days for this month and adding the weekends, that leaves investors only 16 business days to gain profit from their investments.
It sounds amusing but for me it’s quite ridiculous. It’s like they want more holidays so that there will be less business days for them. Their official statement says that they won’t trade on these days because of low market activity and higher risks.
As usual, you can still make deposit and withdrawal transactions even if it’s a non-business day.
Both companies are still actively paying their investors based on feedback that we got from different sites and forums. We hope that they both continue to do so.
